Communication Jammer Thuraya,Inmarsat

The SAJ-1010 is suitable for a range of applications. It has been specially developed to neutralise communication links and networks used by officials, official security organisations and the military whenever so required for defending against terrorist hazards.

Owing to its modular design, the SAJ-1010 is able to perform its missions either independently or as part of an integrated EW system. A specific technique is exploited for jamming frequency-hopping systems or spread spectrum systems. Two frequency bands can operate independently. The limits of each band are definable.

Operational areas range from suppression of communications over GSM or satellite paths while fighting organised crime to preventive measures for neutralising remotely-activated explosives associated with assassination attempts.

The signal radiated by an SAJ-1010 unit jam remotely controlled fuses/receivers, preventing execution of coded command transmissions by terrorists or other third parties.

Specifically designed versions jam those downlink cellular or satellite signals associated with the country of use. The SAJ-1010 can simultaneously jam single or quad-band systems and satellite channels and is available in versions having various power outputs. Its robust construction renders it especially suitable for implementation in harsh operational environments.

The SAJ-1010 units can be powered by a 12 VDC (up to 48VDC) external source, by 115 VAC for aircraft operation or by the 230 VAC mains.

Frequency range

Band 1: GSM-900
Band 2: GSM-1800
Band 3: GPS
Band 4: Al-Thuraya satellite, Inmarsat
Single band or simultaneous quad-band operation.

Blocking range Jamming area is influenced by the distance to the nearest transmitter
to be masked. If the target area is close to e.g. a cell base station, additional
signal power may be needed to ensure corruption of the incoming signal.
Distance can be increased by using high gain directional antennas.
